My Wishlist

Hope I can get some of them oneday.

  • New notebook: light enough to take it everywhere. The notebook using now is surely with great performance, but not easy to be carried with, especially with many external hardwares. Maybe a lightweight notebook and a stable network connection (used to connect to the old one remotely) is more cool. The old one can be used as an workstation? maybe.

  • SDR devices with upconverter/downconverter and ant. SW radio and satellite signal sometimes is really fun.

Offline:

  • New server which can be used as storage server, and run some small VMs nolonger needs them. I'm cloud engineer!
  • Laser color printer. Just for SOHO or some personal fun? Don't have enough space in my room.

The old one can be used as an workstation? maybe.: New computer is on the way: Intel NUC8i7HVK + 16GiB RAM + 512 GiB SSD. Going to upgrade 32GiB RAM later.
  • Keyboard: HHKB or Realforce, blanks, and better if can modify firmware easily: Got an HHKB Professional JP. Enough keys for me to remap. Maybe not need to modify fw now?: Remap seems not very useful since it may not work under different OS. But still a good idea.
  • iPad or Surface Book(not recommend for Windows 10 inside): Got iPad Pro 9.7 with a Apple Pencil. Really great for work!
  • Another 8GB RAM.: Now the notepad is running with 16GB RAM. Enough for VMs on CPU!
  • Several SD cards and flash disks used to exchange data between trusted/untrusted environments.: A few miniSD cards, two card readers with a mark pen is enough to do it now.
  • iPhone or some other new phone.: Planning to buy a iPhone SE or iPhone 7. See if I can have a chance to give myself a reward.: The old one is completely broken. Bought an iPhone SE in pink.
  • Access point ~~Got a Bananapi R1 with five ethernet ports and several useful things. Trying to modify its software.~~Posted some blogs about it. But the road is still long.
  • A large HDD to replace old ones. ~~Got a 4TB WD red disk. Still need another one. ~~ Now using one WD 4TB, one HGST 4TB, one WD 1TB and one HGST 500GB(2.5inch) as my secondary storage devices, with one WD 2TB portable hard drive, one 240GB Intel SSD and several different memory cards & flash disks as primary storage.
  • A good enough earphone. Like Sony MDR-1000X ~~~Got a basic one: Sennheiser HD201. But need another with noise-cancellation ability...~~~ Bought MDR-1000XB at about 1700 RMB. This one is so fuxking great! I love sony!
  • SSD Got an Intel 240GB. But maybe need more... Planning to buy a 250/500GB external SSD. Too poor to buy one. Bought a Samsung SSD T5 and also print a logo of XDSEC on it ;)
